Busy Hands – Growing Minds
Welcome To Emory Valley Center
Our Mission: To enhance the lives of children, adults and families in an environment that promotes independence, dignity and respect.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month
Especially this month, we are celebrating the dedicated, talented and hard-working people we support employed by businesses in our community. We appreciate all of our Workforce Development partners who have hired people we support to become a positive contributor to their workforce teams. “Congratulations” to all the people we support who are achieving your goals and dreams!
Please “like” our facebook page to see some employment successes of the people we support throughout the month.

What We Offer
Emory Valley Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, has been serving children and adults with disabilities in the East Tennessee area for 62 years.
1955: A group of Oak Ridge and Clinton parents, wanting a better world for their disabled children, chartered the Oak Ridge Council for Retarded Children (ORCRC) and started a school for intellectually disabled children in a metal barracks building donated by the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC).
Emory Valley Center is community focused and highly invested in the East Tennessee area, safely providing quality services to the people we support. We embrace our community becoming involved with our center and the people we support. Thank you for giving back with your time, talents and finances.
