Emory Valley Center seeks entry level and experienced Direct Support Professionals to provide assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Oak Ridge, TN. Full time with benefits to include insurance and retirement plan. Paid training provided! Part time positions also available. Requirements: Minimum age 18, TN driver license with acceptable driving record, negative drug screen, and acceptable background check. Starting pay for entry level positions is $8.50 per hour with an increase to $9 per hour after 90 day probation period and training completion. Applicants with at least 6 months of agency experience can qualify to work in homes that pay $9.50 per hour and increase to $10 per hour after 90 day probation period and training completion. ECF Staff- Part Time Emory Valley Center seeks part time staff to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing support in their private homes and in the community. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required. Work can be in Knox, Anderson, Campbell, Roane, Morgan, or Scott counties and the ability to work in at least 2 counties is also required for this position. ECF Staff use their personal vehicle for work, so vehicle must be able to pass an inspection and the applicant must have a minimum of liability auto insurance for the vehicle. Work can be during day or evening hours and requires availability to work a short Saturday or Sunday shift. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, Valid TN driver license w/acceptable driving record, acceptable drug screen results, acceptable background check, and 6 months of caregiving experience. Assistant Teacher Emory Valley Center’s Early Learning Center seeks an Assistant Teacher to work with children in a center-based environment. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with all classroom activities, including: creating a developmentally-appropriate inclusive classroom where each child’s individual abilities are strengthened and needs are met. Requirements: Minimum age to apply is 18 years. Must have High School diploma or GED, must complete TECTA infant/ toddler orientation during probationary period, if not already completed, and must complete Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education if not already earned. Senior Services Assistant Emory Valley Center seeks a Senior Services Assistant to work with seniors in a day center-based environment, Monday through Friday. The Seniors Services Assistant will assist in implementing programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of senior participants and their caregivers and that provide people supported a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Early Interventionist Emory Valley Center Early Intervention program, a Tennessee Department of Education state funded program, is currently looking for individuals interested in providing home based services to families of children birth to three, that qualify for early intervention services. Early Intervention providers carry a caseload and provide direct service to children and families, by using strategies in the home, or in childcare centers with child care staff, using Routines-Based Intervention – coaching practices, and support. Minimum Qualifications to apply: bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies, Early Intervention, or degrees in deaf education or visual disabilities, special education, or K-12 elementary education. Hiring preference is given to those with degrees in early childhood education, and work experience with children birth to three and family involvement and engagement experience.
