Advantage Center
The Advantage Center was developed as a Satellite Site for Emory Valley Center in Morgan County with six individuals and two staff in 1994. Today the Advantage Center supports on average 16 individuals, 4 Supported Living Homes, and 24 staff.
Services available at the Advantage Center include:
Supported Living Homes – staffed twenty four hours a day every day of the year providing a variety of supports including:
- Homemaking skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery/supply shopping)
- Personal hygiene
- Budgeting
- Leisure activities
- Personal Assistance – providing support to individuals in their personal home or community based on their personal needs and goals.
Employment and Community First/Community Living Support Programs
Community Enrichment Program – providing support to individuals in the community:
- Volunteer Activities
- Community Classes
- Leisure Activities
- Community Events
Supported Employment
- Securing competitive employment jobs in the community
- Providing on site Job Coaching
Partnership with Morgan County High School – providing support to high school students with intellectual or developmental disabilities:
- Job training
- Skill development
