Advantage Center

The Advantage Center was developed as a Satellite Site for Emory Valley Center in Morgan County with six individuals and two staff in 1994. Today the Advantage Center supports on average 16 individuals, 4 Supported Living Homes, and 24 staff.

Services available at the Advantage Center include:


Supported Living Homes – staffed twenty four hours a day every day of the year providing a variety of supports including:

  • Homemaking skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery/supply shopping)
  • Personal hygiene
  • Budgeting
  • Leisure activities
  • Personal Assistance – providing support to individuals in their personal home or community based on their personal needs and goals.

Employment and Community First/Community Living Support Programs

Community Enrichment Program – providing support to individuals in the community:

  • Volunteer Activities
  • Community Classes
  • Leisure Activities
  • Community Events

Supported Employment

  • Securing competitive employment jobs in the community
  • Providing on site Job Coaching

Partnership with Morgan County High School – providing support to high school students with intellectual or developmental disabilities:

  • Job training
  • Skill development
